Litigation Attorney Business and Employment Litigation (Partner/Counsel Level)

Job Overview: A dynamic and growing boutique litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney at the Partner or Counsel level, specializing in business and/or employment disputes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney to lead complex litigation cases while working closely with professionals, executives, and business owners.

Duties:

• Oversee full-cycle litigation from intake to resolution, including depositions, court appearances, trials, and appeals
• Develop and execute tailored legal strategies to meet client business and personal goals
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs
• Prepare for trials by coordinating evidence, witness preparation, and handling trial strategy
• Collaborate with colleagues and paralegals in a team-oriented environment to deliver high-quality legal work
• Mentor junior attorneys, providing guidance on case strategies, legal processes, and client management
• Manage cases independently while ensuring strong client relationships

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State
• 10+ years of experience in business or employment litigation, including courtroom advocacy and trial work
• Proven ability to manage litigation cases from start to finish
• Strong communication skills for building client relationships and offering strategic legal advice
• Proficiency with litigation technology and adaptability to remote or hybrid work environments
• Experience with trust & estate litigation or high-asset matrimonial disputes (preferred but not required)
• Experience working with large firms or serving as a law clerk (preferred)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active New York State Bar membership (required)
