A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Career Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience in insurance and reinsurance law. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The role requires outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated superior research and writing skills.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal counsel on insurance coverage matters, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Analyze complex insurance policies and coverage issues, offering strategic advice to clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on relevant legal issues.
  • Represent clients in various stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Manage case files independently, ensuring timely and efficient progress through the litigation process.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies and resolve disputes.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and case law to provide informed legal advice.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Proven track record in drafting legal documents and conducting detailed legal research.
  • Strong experience in managing litigation processes and representing clients in court.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar or eligibility to practice in Pennsylvania.

Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior research and writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal documents.
