Job Overview

An established law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its commercial real estate group. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in real estate transactional law and a background in handling commercial real estate transactions. Candidates with prior experience are preferred, but recent law school graduates with a keen interest in this area are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Assist in handling commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements.
  • Conduct commercial due diligence, including title and survey reviews.
  • Manage closings and associated documentation.
  • Draft legal documents and review agreements.
  • Collaborate with the team on various real estate transactional matters.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions (e.g., purchase and sale agreements, commercial diligence, title and survey, closings).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform legal due diligence and draft legal documents with precision.
  • Demonstrated interest in real estate transactional law.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
