Class Action Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A leading national plaintiffs’ law firm is seeking an experienced Class Action Litigation Associate to join its New York office. This firm is known for its significant work in consumer protection, civil rights, and large-scale class action lawsuits. Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Manage and litigate class action cases from inception through resolution.
• Oversee case strategy, progress, and ensure efficient management.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case motions and arguments.
• Lead the drafting of motions such as class certification, Daubert, and summary judgment.
• Manage discovery processes, including drafting requests and reviewing documents.
• Communicate with clients, class members, and experts to keep them informed.
• Take and defend depositions of class representatives, fact witnesses, and experts.
• Collaborate with a legal team to develop case strategies and adapt to evolving case dynamics.
• Manage multiple complex cases simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Attend court hearings and provide representation on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in complex litigation, specifically in class actions, mass torts, or large-scale legal matters.
• Proven experience in managing class action lawsuits, including class certification and settlement processes.
• Strong litigation skills with the ability to manage cases from inception to trial or settlement.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, experts, and class members.
• In-depth understanding of class action laws, rules, and procedures.
• Ability to lead a legal team and manage complex case strategies.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with a strong academic record preferred.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s), in good standing with the state bar.

Skills:

• Strong research, writing, and legal drafting abilities.
