Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is currently seeking junior and mid-level litigation associates to join its Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation Team in the San Francisco office. The team handles complex and high-stakes disputes involving private wealth, particularly in areas such as trusts, decedents' estates, conservatorships, adult guardianships, and related fiduciary matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal issues, develop client relationships, and participate in a trial-heavy practice with a strong focus on personal client impact.

Location:

  • San Francisco, California

Duties:

  • Handle complex litigation involving fiduciary disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty, mismanagement, financial elder abuse, and will/trust contests.
  • Represent clients in high-profile private wealth disputes, including cases involving trusts, decedents' estates, and conservatorships.
  • Engage in extensive trial work, representing clients in contentious fiduciary matters.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and directly with clients on sensitive, high-stakes cases.
  • Develop and manage relationships with clients in this specialized niche area.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives within the practice group.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience in or exposure to trusts and estates litigation, fiduciary duty claims, and estate administration is a plus, but not required.
  • Admitted to the California State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and trial skills, including legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and client relationships with sensitivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of trusts, estates, conservatorships, and related fiduciary matters preferred but not required.
