Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm in New York City is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Venture & Growth Associate Attorney to join its dynamic finance team. This role involves working closely with financial institutions, private credit funds, and corporate clients on commercial lending transactions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in lender-side representation and a strong background in handling financing for technology, life sciences, and middle-market companies.

Duties:

• Represent banks and private credit funds in commercial finance transactions.

• Structure, draft, and negotiate loan agreements and related financing documents.

• Advise clients on secured and unsecured lending, including venture and growth financing.

• Conduct due diligence and risk assessments on lending arrangements.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate transactions.

• Stay informed on regulatory developments and compliance matters affecting commercial finance.

• Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial finance law.

• Proven track record of representing financial institutions and private credit funds.

• Experience with loans to technology, life sciences, or middle-market companies preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in New York or eligibility for admission.
