A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its well-established team in Summerville, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated attorney with a passion for residential and commercial real estate transactions to make a meaningful impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating real estate closings while ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and guidance throughout the process.

Duties:

  • Manage both residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, refinances, and leases.
  • Review and analyze title documents to ensure clear ownership and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth real estate closings.
  • Draft and review essential documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase/sale agreements.
  • Provide a professional and engaging experience to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the closing process.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and sign checks to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
  • Build and nurture business relationships to promote firm growth and expansion.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients and staff on relevant areas of real estate law and closing procedures.

Requirements:

  • Residential real estate experience is preferred, but the firm is willing to train the right candidate.
  • Must be a member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Self-starter, proactive in community involvement, and results-driven.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a focus on residential real estate transactions.
  • A strong work ethic, demonstrated through academic achievements and professional experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the South Carolina State Bar (or eligibility to become a member).

  • Ability to review and draft real estate documents accurately and efficiently.
