The attorney will manage all aspects of casework, from initial consultations through negotiations, depositions, hearings, and trials. Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients throughout all phases of personal injury cases, including consultations, case preparation, and trial representation.

  • Engage in settlement negotiations with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure fair compensation for clients.
  • Handle depositions, including the preparation of witnesses, and manage the discovery process.
  • Draft and file legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients at hearings and trials, presenting evidence and arguments effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice throughout the case process.
  • Oversee client intake, strategize case development, and customize legal strategies to fit individual case needs.
  • Collaborate with medical experts, investigators, and other professionals to build strong cases.
  • Ensure case files are accurate and up-to-date, meeting all deadlines and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, supporting team development and client success.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, or North Dakota.
  • Personal injury law experience or related litigation experience preferred.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the office and travel locally to meet with clients.
  • Previous experience in a professional office environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills, including comfort with phone consultations and client interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, or North Dakota.
