Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in downtown Portland, Oregon, is looking for a skilled attorney to join its Insolvency and Creditors' Rights practice group. This position requires extensive experience in consumer collection cases, both judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, and creditor representation in bankruptcy cases. The role is designed for an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong advocacy skills, who can provide practical legal advice and representation throughout the collection process. Duties:

  • Handle consumer collection cases in state court
  • Manage judicial and non-judicial foreclosures
  • Represent creditors in bankruptcy cases
  • Attend hearings in both state and federal courts
  • Provide comprehensive legal assessments and advice to clients
  • Advocate for clients throughout the legal collection process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience
  • Proven track record of handling hearings in state and federal courts
  • Licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Highly organized with solid personal and practice management skills

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar membership in Oregon and Washington

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington (required)

Skills:

  • Experience with case management in bankruptcy, foreclosure, and collection matters
