Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate Attorney to join their Palo Alto, CA team. This role requires an attorney with extensive experience in family law, particularly within the Texas jurisdiction. The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel, represent clients in various court proceedings, and play a critical role in mentoring junior attorneys. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs and secure representation.
  • Provide expert legal advice on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and more.
  • Serve as the first chair in court proceedings, including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings.
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients effectively in negotiations, aiming for favorable outcomes.
  • Mentor and provide training to junior attorneys, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Stay updated on Texas Family Law statutes and apply this knowledge to client cases and firm procedures.

  • Participate in the firm’s business development activities, including networking events, client seminars, and community outreach.
  • Uphold the highest standards of legal ethics and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience practicing family law, with significant experience in divorce, child custody, and domestic violence cases.
  • Proven track record of successfully representing clients as the lead attorney in court proceedings.
  • Deep understanding and expertise in Texas Family Law statutes.
