Workers Compensation Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a mid-level Workers' Compensation Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability. The successful candidate will handle a range of workers' compensation defense cases and possess knowledge of Maryland and Pennsylvania laws. This position offers a flexible work environment, including hybrid and remote options, with a requirement to commute to the Baltimore office three days per week. Candidates licensed in additional jurisdictions such as DE, DC, VA, and WV are encouraged to apply.

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation defense and employer liability cases.
• Manage a high volume of cases while meeting deadlines and multitasking effectively.
• Conduct legal research and draft documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Provide legal counsel to clients regarding workers' compensation claims and related matters.
• Attend hearings and depositions as required.
• Collaborate with the team to develop defense strategies for cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders regarding case developments.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation defense law.
• Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations in MD and PA.
• Experience with employer liability claims is a plus.
• Additional licensure in jurisdictions such as DE, DC, VA, or WV is encouraged.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
• Additional licensure in DE, DC, VA, or WV is a plus.
