Duties and Responsibilities:

• Investigate claims and develop legal strategies
• Meet with clients to discuss case details and provide legal advice
• Draft and respond to written discovery
• Draft, review, and oppose legal motions
• Take and defend percipient witness and expert depositions
• Appear in court for hearings and trials
• Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel
• Prepare and review legal briefs, pleadings, and reports
• Prepare reports to clients on case status and developments
• Handle litigated files from inception through resolution with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• CA Bar membership is required
• 2-4 years of experience managing litigated cases from start to finish
• Experience with trial preparation is highly preferred
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Extensive legal knowledge and expertise
• Ability to work collaboratively with firm paralegals and staff

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar (CA Bar)
