Litigation Associate

Job Overview:

A highly regarded law firm is seeking an Associate with 1-3 years of litigation experience to join its Business Litigation Practice Group in the Dallas, TX office. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in litigation, including written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings, and substantive motions. Additionally, experience with mediations, court appearances, and assisting at trials and arbitrations is essential. The candidate must demonstrate a strong academic record, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Location:

• Dallas, TX

Duties:

• Manage written discovery and depositions for litigation cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other substantive legal documents.
• Participate in mediations and court appearances.
• Assist in trial preparation and support during trials and arbitrations.
• Conduct legal research and provide written analysis.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on litigation strategies.
• Ensure timely and accurate case management, deadlines, and reporting.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of litigation experience.
• Experience with written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings, and substantive motions.
• Familiarity with mediations, court appearances, and trial/arbitration assistance.
• Strong academic record.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active state bar membership in the state of Texas.

Skills:

• Strong research and writing skills.
• Proficiency in litigation processes, including discovery and motion practice.
• Experience with court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
