A law firm in Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Associate Attorney, the candidate will manage a caseload and interact with clients, collaborating with an experienced Immigration Team. The role involves representing clients in removal proceedings, preparing immigration applications, and providing strategic immigration advice.

 

Duties:

  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers
  • Prepare and submit diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
  • Review immigration applications and make necessary adjustments
  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration matters
  • Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and develop necessary strategies
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony
  • Provide legal analysis to clients regarding case benefits
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases
  • Utilize case management software to efficiently manage caseload

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas
  • 4+ years of experience in immigration law
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
  • Preferably bilingual (Spanish)

 

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with clients and team members
  • Record of moving legal cases forward and managing a diverse caseload
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas
