Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial, across general liability, professional liability, and employment claims.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on legal matters, including complex insurance defense litigation.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and arguments.
• Participate in client meetings, mediations, and depositions.
• Manage case files efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine litigation strategies.

Requirements

• At least 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Active license to practice law in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
• Familiarity with litigation areas such as casualty, construction defect, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, or general liability is highly desirable.
• Experience in insurance defense litigation is a plus.
• Excellent legal writing and organizational skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Skills

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with legal research software such as LexisNexis.
• Ability to manage a large caseload efficiently.
