Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

  • Provide proactive client care and exceptional legal services throughout the criminal defense process.
  • Manage a caseload of criminal defense cases, from intake through trial and post-conviction.
  • Develop legal strategies and prepare defense arguments.
  • Attend hearings, pretrial motions, and trials to represent clients.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Ensure all documentation and legal filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and advising on best strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to strategize and improve case outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Texas Criminal Law experience preferred.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced caseload while maintaining attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and trial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
