Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Bridgewater, NJ. The ideal candidate will handle all commercial litigation matters, including court appearances, depositions, and client management. Occasional involvement in New York litigation matters may be required.

Duties:

  • Manage all phases of commercial litigation cases, from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations across New Jersey, including Law and Chancery Divisions.
  • Handle New York litigation matters as needed, potentially including court appearances.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and manage client expectations.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Superior academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in New Jersey and New York.
  • Proven experience in New Jersey and New York State court systems.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing in New Jersey and New York.
