Senior Criminal Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Senior Criminal Defense Attorney to join its growing team in Las Vegas. Duties

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and prepare comprehensive legal documents for each case.
• Represent clients at pretrial hearings, advising on strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Conduct court appearances, manage trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and perform detailed legal research.
• Analyze likely case outcomes using in-depth knowledge of legal precedents to inform defense strategies.
• Organize and manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Accumulate additional evidence to strengthen client defenses or challenge prosecution arguments.
• Prepare clients for depositions by gathering critical information from witnesses and experts to support the defense’s case.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in criminal defense, including handling complex cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to strategize and support team members.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
