Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their Jacksonville, FL office. The ideal candidate will have 0-10 years of experience in insurance defense, with a strong background in handling all areas of civil litigation. This role requires an attorney who possesses excellent communication, analytical, research, and writing skills. The candidate must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including case assessment, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage cases efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist in trial proceedings when necessary.
• Review and analyze complex legal documents, contracts, and insurance policies.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience: 0-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Litigation Experience: Previous experience handling depositions, court appearances, and various phases of litigation.
