Job Overview: A well-established personal injury law firm based in Carrollton, Texas, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will handle a docket of 75 to 100 plaintiff injury cases, including both pre-litigation and litigation, with the support of a skilled team of Paralegals and Legal Assistants. The role involves developing litigation strategies, managing cases, and providing personalized attention to clients. This position offers competitive compensation with opportunities for quarterly bonuses based on performance.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of 75 to 100 personal injury cases, including pre-litigation and litigation.
  • Develop and execute legal strategies on behalf of clients.
  • Review and revise demand brochures, litigation pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and motions, and prepare for trial.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations.
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients to ensure they feel valued and informed about their cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including Stowers demands, motions, and pleadings.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure efficient case progression.

Requirements:

  • Proven litigation experience in personal injury law, including:
    • Conducting at least 20 depositions.
    • Handling at least 7 mediations (first or second chair).
    • Prior trial experience (first or second chair).
  • In-depth understanding of discovery procedures, litigation timelines, and deadlines.
  • Experience drafting Stowers demands (at least 10 completed).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of files and move cases forward efficiently without compromising client care.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Needles case management software (preferred but not required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Proficient in negotiating settlements and mediations.
  • Excellent attention to detail in case management and client communications.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including demand brochures and pleadings.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the legal team.
  • Familiarity with legal technology, particularly Needles case management software (preferred).
