Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established personal injury law firm based in Carrollton, Texas, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will handle a docket of 75 to 100 plaintiff injury cases, including both pre-litigation and litigation, with the support of a skilled team of Paralegals and Legal Assistants. The role involves developing litigation strategies, managing cases, and providing personalized attention to clients. Location:

• Carrollton, TX

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of 75 to 100 personal injury cases, including pre-litigation and litigation.
• Develop and execute legal strategies on behalf of clients.
• Review and revise demand brochures, litigation pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and motions, and prepare for trial.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients to ensure they feel valued and informed about their cases.
• Draft legal documents, including Stowers demands, motions, and pleadings.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure efficient case progression.

Requirements:

• Proven litigation experience in personal injury law, including:
  • Conducting at least 20 depositions.
  • Handling at least 7 mediations (first or second chair).
  • Prior trial experience (first or second chair).
• In-depth understanding of discovery procedures, litigation timelines, and deadlines.
• Experience drafting Stowers demands (at least 10 completed).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to take ownership of files and move cases forward efficiently without compromising client care.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with Needles case management software (preferred but not required).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Proficient in negotiating settlements and mediations.
• Excellent attention to detail in case management and client communications.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including demand brochures and pleadings.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the legal team.
• Familiarity with legal technology, particularly Needles case management software (preferred).
