A law firm in Mount Pleasant, SC, is seeking a skilled Real Estate Closing Attorney to manage residential and commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar, with a strong background in real estate law and experience in closing transactions. This role involves overseeing various aspects of real estate deals, from reviewing titles to working with various stakeholders and ensuring a professional client experience.

Duties:

  • Oversee residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, and refinances.
  • Review and analyze title documents to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth real estate transactions.
  • Draft and/or review loan documents, including contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Provide a professional and engaging experience to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and sign checks for transactions.
  • Develop and cultivate business relationships to grow the firm's real estate practice.
  • Conduct training sessions for potential clients on relevant areas of real estate law.
  • Preferred experience in residential real estate transactions.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Proven experience in closing real estate transactions, with a preference for residential real estate.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law and related documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines efficiently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • South Carolina State Bar membership (in good standing).
