A law firm with a strong record of advocating for individuals facing severe injury and life-changing circumstances is expanding into Arizona and seeks a Plaintiff’s Litigation Attorney to launch and lead its inaugural office in the state. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced trial lawyer with a passion for representing injury victims, particularly in cases involving catastrophic harm and workplace injuries. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing the firm’s presence in Arizona while directly handling complex cases with full support from the firm’s leadership.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate directly with the firm’s partners to align case strategies with overarching firm objectives.
  • Independently oversee a full docket of serious injury and workplace accident cases, managing each from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct detailed legal analysis and case research using a variety of legal databases and investigative tools.
  • Draft and refine legal pleadings, pre-trial motions, briefs, and other essential court filings.
  • Act as lead counsel in legal proceedings, including motion hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trial appearances.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other involved parties to maximize client recovery.
  • Advise clients on legal options, case developments, and procedural timelines, ensuring clear and compassionate communication throughout the legal process.

Minimum Education & Licensing:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Currently licensed to practice law in Arizona or eligible for reciprocal admission under Arizona’s licensing rules.

Professional Background:

  • Demonstrated litigation experience in plaintiff-side personal injury cases, with emphasis on workplace injuries, catastrophic accidents, or serious liability claims.
  • Extensive familiarity with Arizona civil procedure, rules of evidence, and administrative processes related to workplace injury claims.
  • Proficient in all aspects of case preparation, including discovery, client interviews, legal drafting, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Background negotiating with insurance carriers and defense counsel to resolve complex claims favorably.

Required Skill Set:

  • Strong legal research capabilities using platforms such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar tools.
  • Exceptional written advocacy skills to craft persuasive motions, demand letters, and trial briefs.
  • Clear, confident oral communication for courtroom arguments, client interactions, and settlement negotiations.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-stakes caseload with attention to procedural detail and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to spot legal issues and evaluate potential risks quickly.
  • Organizational proficiency to track case developments, filings, and court appearances without external oversight.
