Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience

A law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its civil defense litigation team. The firm specializes in defending public entities, officers, and insureds of nationally recognized insurance carriers. Duties:

• Assist in defending public entities, officers, and insurance carriers in civil defense litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Manage cases from inception through trial, including handling discovery, depositions, and mediations.
• Represent clients in both state and federal courts.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies.
• Stay updated on legal developments affecting civil defense litigation.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Ability to handle complex legal issues independently.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Interest in state and federal litigation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar (or eligibility for admission).

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar (required).
• Federal court admission (preferred but not required).
