Job Description:

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee patent litigation cases from pre-trial analysis through trial.
  • Conduct discovery matters and resolve disputes.
  • Take and defend depositions effectively.
  • Collaborate with experts and manage their reports.
  • Represent clients in court hearings.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on intellectual property matters.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments in intellectual property law and communicate relevant changes to clients and team members.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of litigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of patent litigation experience.
  • Willingness to learn and engage in trademark litigation.
  • Experience in ANDA litigation is a plus.
  • Proven litigation experience throughout the case lifecycle, including pre-trial analysis, discovery, depositions, expert collaborations, court hearings, and trials.
  • Excellent academic credentials and references.

Education:

  • A JD from an accredited law school.
  • An educational background in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or life sciences is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software.
