Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of immigration law concepts and offer strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, both for detained and non-detained cases.
• Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective legal services.
• Conduct intakes with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and submit a range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and revise immigration applications and packets for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law matters.
• Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients and develop case strategies.
• Guide clients and witnesses in preparation for court and USCIS testimonies.
• Provide legal analysis to assess possible case outcomes and benefits.
• Draft legal briefs and motions for various immigration matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to move legal cases forward efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to group strategy development.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS processes.
• Familiarity with Case Management Software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
