Job Overview:
A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to assist in managing workers' compensation cases at the firm's soon-to-be-opened Bay Area office. The ideal candidate will have experience handling cases from start to finish, including depositions, and the ability to manage a full caseload. Trial experience is a plus but not required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team with support staff provided.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage workers' compensation files from start to finish.
  • Handle depositions and collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and potential trials.
  • Organize and maintain accurate case files and documentation.
  • Work with a team to ensure efficient case handling and timely progression.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience handling workers' compensation cases.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Friendly, professional, and flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Experience with managing workers' compensation files and depositions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document preparation, and case management.
  • Trial experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
