Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Counsel to join its growing team in Leesburg, Virginia. Duties:

  • Advise clients on a variety of legal matters, with a focus on Intellectual Property (Trademarks or Patents), Trusts & Estates, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Government & Regulatory issues.
  • Generate new business opportunities and manage existing client relationships to foster growth.
  • Collaborate with firm partners to develop and implement client solutions.
  • Provide expert legal counsel while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth and visibility by being an active participant in business development initiatives.
  • Work with a team of professionals in a flexible and supportive environment to achieve successful outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Virginia, Maryland, or D.C. bar.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and contribute to firm growth.
  • Experience in Intellectual Property, Trust & Estates, Mergers & Acquisitions, or Government & Regulatory law is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Virginia, Maryland, or D.C. bar.

Skills:

  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Expertise in one or more preferred practice areas (Intellectual Property, Trust & Estates, Mergers & Acquisitions, Government & Regulatory).
