Senior Criminal Defense Attorney

A Fort Worth, TX law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. This role involves advising clients on their legal rights, managing court appearances, drafting motions, and providing comprehensive legal analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal defense, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle complex cases at various jurisdictional levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents relevant to their case
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing
• Manage court appearances and trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research
• Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
• Manage a workload of multiple cases
• Provide detailed legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits
• Accumulate additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter the prosecution's charges
• Prepare clients for depositions and determine essential goals of case strategy
• Gather information from witnesses and experts to support clients' positions

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of Criminal Defense experience
• Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Team player with a collaborative mindset

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
