Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on insurance coverage issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Analyze insurance policies, coverage disputes, and regulatory requirements to offer strategic legal solutions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate insurance-related documents, including policies, contracts, and regulatory filings.
  • Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes and commercial litigation, including arbitration and court proceedings.
  • Prepare and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, and other litigation materials.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on insurance and reinsurance matters.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients, insurance professionals, and internal teams to address and resolve insurance claims and coverage issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and legal developments affecting insurance law.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
  • 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
