A law firm seeks an experienced Of Counsel - Transactional Franchise Attorney to join its team in Phoenix, AZ, with the option to work remotely. The role involves providing strategic legal counsel in franchise and distribution law, focusing on drafting agreements, managing regulatory filings, and advising clients on complex transactional matters. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse clients, including international and U.S.-based companies across various industries.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and manage franchise agreements, disclosure documents, and other regulatory filings.
  • Advise clients on intricate franchise transactions and compliance with U.S. franchising regulations.
  • Provide counsel on international franchising and mergers and acquisitions, as needed.
  • Collaborate on franchise litigation and transactional matters for a broad client base, including private equity firms, emerging franchisors, and established brands.
  • Guide clients through compliance requirements for entry into U.S. markets and complex franchising matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in transactional franchise law, with a focus on U.S. franchising regulations.
  • Admission to the Arizona State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • Proven expertise in managing franchise agreements and regulatory documentation.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and client advisory skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.

Skills:
