Duties

• Advocate for clients through court appearances, hearings, and trials.
• Provide legal counsel and practical advice on issues such as guardianship, Medicaid, and special education law.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage client caseloads, ensuring effective communication and high-quality representation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external organizations to develop strategies for complex legal matters.
• Stay informed on relevant legal developments and legislative changes impacting disability rights.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey, in good standing.
• 2–5 years of legal experience, with a preference for candidates with experience in disability or special needs law.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
• Strong advocacy skills with a willingness to engage in litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Membership in the New Jersey State Bar (required).
