Duties:

  • Manage and represent clients in a variety of construction litigation matters, including disputes related to contracts, delays, defects, and other issues within the construction industry.
  • Handle cases from inception to resolution, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals to develop litigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with updates and advice on case progress.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Stay informed about developments in construction law, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Participate in business development activities and assist in fostering client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction litigation or construction-related legal matters.
  • Experience handling high-stakes, complex construction cases, including those involving large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong ability to handle a large caseload and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Membership in the Georgia State Bar (preferred).

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of construction law and related regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and case management software.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice.
