Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm based in Newport Beach, CA, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Litigation Attorney to join its practice group. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about litigation and client service. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation, creditors’ rights, and real estate law, with a focus on providing high-quality legal support to clients in the financial sector.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation matters, focusing on real estate, civil litigation, and creditors’ rights.
  • Handle bench trials and motions with a strong foundation in civil procedure, motions, and loss mitigation.
  • Manage assigned cases effectively using case management and reporting software.
  • Attend court appearances and handle associated travel when necessary.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure proactive communication and superior client care.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Title & Lien Priority, Title Claims, Foreclosure, Eviction, TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA matters.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote a collaborative working environment.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, and/or creditors’ rights.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, motions, and litigation practices.
  • Comfortable with court appearances and travel as required.
  • Ability to use case management software effectively.
  • A self-starter with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to client satisfaction and problem-solving.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active CA Bar License (Required)
  • Additional Bar Licenses are a plus.

Skills:

  • Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong client care skills, showing attention to detail and proactive communication.
