Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Plano, TX, seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to support its growing collection and litigation practice. The role involves handling a high-volume caseload with responsibilities ranging from client advocacy to legal research and courtroom representation. This position is ideal for self-starters with a passion for delivering exceptional legal services.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in breach of contract and collection litigation from initial demand through judgment.
  • Prepare and argue motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment.
  • Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload to meet firm and client expectations.
  • Address escalated and time-sensitive legal matters.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
