Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in North Miami Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with over 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel and representation in all immigration-related matters, including employment-based cases and federal appeals. The role involves representing clients in immigration court proceedings and requires exceptional legal expertise, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. Fluency in a second language, such as Spanish, is a plus.

Duties:

• Legal Counsel and Representation: Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of immigration law, including employment-based cases, family-based cases, and asylum.
• Federal Appeals: Prepare and file federal appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
• Court Proceedings: Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
• Document Preparation: Draft and file immigration petitions, applications, and other legal documents.
• Client Counseling: Counsel clients on immigration options, case strategies, and legal procedures.
• Case Management: Manage a high caseload of immigration cases, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Legal Research: Conduct detailed legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures to support casework.
• Advocacy: Advocate for clients' rights and interests before government agencies, including USCIS and the Department of Homeland Security.
• Client Interaction: Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in immigration law and procedures, with a proven track record in handling complex cases.
• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Licensed to practice law in Florida or any other state.
• Court Representation: Experience representing clients in immigration court proceedings is mandatory.
• Language Skills: Fluency in a second language, such as Spanish, is a plus.
• Client Counseling: Experience with client counseling and advocacy.
