Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an Associate Personal Injury Attorney to join its team in Omaha, Nebraska. The position involves managing personal injury cases, interacting with clients, and negotiating with insurance companies. The Associate Attorney will work closely with a team of legal professionals to ensure that each case is handled with the utmost care and expertise. This role also includes supervising non-attorney staff to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Location:

  • Omaha, NE

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads through the pre-litigation process.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate with clients and maintain positive relationships.
  • Draft legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other required documents.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all legal documents prepared.
  • Adhere to legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Active Bar license in Nebraska (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of personal injury law experience.
  • Preferred: Active Bar license in Missouri.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Nebraska Bar License (required).
  • Active Missouri Bar License (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain positive client relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
