Associate Attorney Renewable Energy Project Development

A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its Capital Projects & Infrastructure practice in New York City, NY. This role focuses on providing legal guidance and representation in renewable energy and infrastructure project finance and development. Duties

• Advise clients on renewable energy and infrastructure project finance and development.
• Negotiate and draft contracts, including M&A agreements, EPCs, O&M agreements, supply agreements, and power purchase agreements.
• Support clients in project financing and other transactional matters.
• Collaborate with deal teams to structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions.
• Maintain regular communication with partners and clients, assuming responsibility for specific components of deals.

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of experience in project finance and development, ideally with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal agreements.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Capable of managing components of deals independently.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality legal counsel and client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership and good standing in the jurisdiction of practice.
