Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a talented Mid-Level Leveraged Finance Associate to join their dynamic Global Finance team. This group represents a broad range of clients, including borrowers, lenders, equity investors, sponsors, and agents, across various financing transactions. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex domestic and cross-border deals, providing significant exposure to market trends and deal structures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in leveraged finance and play an active role in executing high-stakes transactions.

Duties:

• Represent borrowers, lenders, private equity sponsors, and agents in a broad spectrum of financing transactions, including acquisitions, recapitalizations, and restructuring matters.
• Handle both domestic and cross-border financing transactions, contributing to all aspects from due diligence through to closing.
• Collaborate with deal teams, taking responsibility for managing key transaction components.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on complex financial structures, including leveraged buyouts and other sophisticated financing solutions.
• Assist clients in navigating intricate regulatory frameworks and deal terms.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, investors, and other stakeholders in the financing process.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in leveraged finance, with a solid understanding of finance transactions and deal structures.
• Substantial experience representing borrowers, lenders, private equity sponsors, and agents in the financing sector.
• Familiarity with middle market lending, as well as working with alternative financiers, such as business development companies (BDCs), hedge funds, and non-bank lenders, is preferred.
• Strong ability to manage multiple aspects of a transaction, including due diligence, document preparation, and closing procedures.
• Proven track record of working as an integral part of a deal team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in New York or eligibility to be admitted to the New York Bar.
