A respected law firm in Orange, CA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney to join their growing team. Duties:

• Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and assist in preparing legal documents relevant to their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings, offering guidance to clients on legal strategies following each session.
• Represent clients in court, handle trials, draft motions, conduct witness interviews, and perform essential legal research.
• Utilize knowledge of legal precedents to analyze the likely outcomes of cases and develop strategic defense plans.
• Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progress on all cases.
• Evaluate case details to identify potential benefits and risks for clients.
• Gather additional evidence, including interviewing key witnesses and consulting experts, to strengthen clients’ cases.
• Prepare clients for depositions and advise on case strategy to ensure successful outcomes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
• Active Bar admission in California.
• Interest or experience in Criminal Defense law, through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients, colleagues, and witnesses.
• A demonstrated ability to manage cases efficiently and move legal matters forward.
• Proficiency with case management software preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar Admission in California.
