Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Litigation Attorney for an associate or counsel role in Orange County or Los Angeles. In this position, the attorney will provide strategic legal counsel on healthcare-related matters, representing hospitals, medical groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical staff in adversarial proceedings. The role involves handling complex litigation and advising clients on regulatory and accreditation compliance, patient care issues, and healthcare law. Duties:

  • Represent healthcare entities in adversarial proceedings, including administrative hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Conduct witness interviews, draft legal briefs, and present cases effectively in court.
  • Advise healthcare clients on compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Draft and review governing documents for healthcare organizations such as hospitals, medical staff, and ambulatory surgery centers.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in healthcare litigation.
  • Strong experience handling clinical care and patient safety issues (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in California.

  • Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
