A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Finance Associate Attorney to join their New York City, NY team. This role offers the opportunity to work on internationally recognized matters, including novel financing deals in the energy transition space.

Job Overview:

  • Work on cutting-edge energy transition finance matters, focusing on monetization of tax equity and renewable energy tax credit.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
  • Provide accurate and timely work products while meeting deadlines and firm expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work, virtual conference calls, and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in New York.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in energy transition finance matters, focusing on financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.
  • Proven experience in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization matters.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
