Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join its Labor & Employment team in San Antonio. This role involves handling a wide range of employment-related litigation matters in both Texas and federal courts, including representing employers before administrative agencies and advising clients on employment compliance. Ideal candidates will bring a background in labor and employment law and possess strong litigation, communication, and client service skills.

Duties

  • Represent employers in employment-related litigation matters in state and federal courts

  • Handle claims involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and other employment disputes

  • Represent clients before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and Texas Workforce Commission

  • Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents

  • Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials

  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and internal teams on litigation strategy and risk management

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of general litigation experience

  • Prior experience with labor and employment law matters preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong team collaboration and client relationship-building capabilities

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Admission to the Texas Bar required

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Texas State Bar
