A respected law firm in the Greater Houston Area is seeking a skilled Immigration Attorney with experience in waivers and consular processing. This role presents a strong opportunity for an attorney to manage a focused caseload, lead paralegals, and guide clients through critical USCIS and consular procedures. Duties

  • Manage a caseload involving CP/Waiver cases including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa applications

  • Prepare clients for interviews at U.S. consulates abroad

  • Represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

  • Review immigration application packets for accuracy and completeness

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of paralegals to ensure productivity and client service goals are met

  • Conduct legal analysis to evaluate case eligibility and available immigration benefits

  • Draft and submit legal briefs and supporting documentation for various immigration petitions and waiver applications

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience practicing immigration law

  • Experience handling consular processing and waiver-based immigration cases

  • Proven ability to manage a caseload independently

  • Strong team collaboration skills and willingness to support colleagues

  • Familiarity with immigration procedures and regulations affecting USCIS and consular filings

  • Experience using legal case management software preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (in good standing)

Skills

  • Immigration law knowledge specific to waivers and consular processes

  • Legal writing and document drafting

  • Interview preparation and client guidance

  • Team management and staff supervision

  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) considered a plus
