Duties:

  • Manage real estate finance transactions from inception to closing, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting due diligence, drafting loan documents, and negotiating terms with clients and opposing parties.
  • Assist in the origination of structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
  • Engage in asset management and workout strategies, providing effective legal solutions to complex issues.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, maintaining effective communication throughout the transaction process and post-closing activities.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices within the practice group.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in real estate finance law, preferably in a large law firm setting.
  • Proven track record of managing complex transactions on behalf of lenders, including experience with secondary market repurchase facilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
