Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Melville, NY is looking to expand its team by hiring a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney. The ideal candidate will have expertise in plaintiff’s personal injury and negligence litigation, with a focus on the Child Victims Act. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload with supervision and engage in all aspects of legal practice, including drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and appearing in court. Duties:

• Assist in handling cases related to Personal Injury, Plaintiff's Negligence, and the Child Victims Act.
• Draft and review complaints, bills of particulars, discovery responses, and demands.
• Conduct depositions and manage communication with clients, opposing counsel, insurance companies, and courts.
• Attend court appearances and hearings, providing legal support and advocacy.
• Supervise junior attorneys and support staff, offering guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategies and legal research.
• Maintain thorough case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff's personal injury or negligence litigation.
• Proven ability to manage caseloads and handle complex legal matters.
• Experience in drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and court appearances.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills with a focus on personal injury and negligence law.
