Employment Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in El Segundo, CA, is seeking an Employment Law Associate Attorney to join their team.

Job Overview:

The Employment Law Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to employment law, with a focus on employment litigation, particularly wage and hour class actions. The role involves handling court appearances, depositions, drafting legal documents, and negotiating settlements.

Duties:

• Represent clients in employment litigation matters, with an emphasis on wage and hour class actions.
• Advocate for clients in State and federal courts.
• Handle court appearances and participate in all aspects of litigation.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft complaints, mediation briefs, and class action settlement agreements.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
• 1-3 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on litigation.
• Strong understanding of employment law principles and regulations.
• Experience in handling wage and hour class actions is highly preferred.

Certifications:

Bar admission in California.
