Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in Immigration law

A prestigious law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Immigration law to manage a diverse caseload. The role involves handling immigration cases with crossover responsibilities in criminal, matrimonial, family, and civil matters. Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Represent clients in immigration proceedings before USCIS, EOIR, as well as in New York Family Court, New York Criminal Court, ICE, and CBP
• Prepare and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct meetings with clients to provide legal counsel and case updates
• Manage a high-volume caseload across immigration, criminal, and family law cases

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Immigration law
• Active New York State Bar license
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills in both languages
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage diverse and high-volume caseloads efficiently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in New York

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Proficiency in handling immigration cases, as well as crossover experience in criminal and family law
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Effective oral advocacy and interpersonal skills for client relations and courtroom appearances
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
