Duties

• Handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including third-party litigation and first-party claims
• Prepare for and represent clients in trial proceedings, with a focus on civil litigation
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Engage in law and motion practice to support case development and strategy
• Collaborate with legal support staff in a paperless environment to ensure efficient case management
• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide strategic legal counsel

Requirements

• 3-20 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for insurance defense cases
• Active license to practice law in California, in good standing with the California State Bar
• Experience with both first-party and third-party claims, including discovery processes and trial procedures
• Proficiency in using legal software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and LexisNexis
• Strong technical skills, particularly in digital case management and legal automation

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active California State Bar license (required)
