Job Overview:

  • Work collaboratively with lead trial attorneys to perform research, analysis, and writing tasks for various tort law cases.
  • Contribute to the representation of plaintiffs in legal proceedings.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.

  • Assist in case preparation, including organizing evidence and preparing exhibits.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Attend meetings, hearings, and trials as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Maine or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • Strong academic credentials, with a focus on tort law coursework preferred.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate them effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.
