  • Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents such as complaints, motions, and briefs
  • Leading mediations to negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Developing case strategies in collaboration with the legal team
  • Representing clients in trials when cases proceed to litigation

Job Overview:

The Personal Injury Attorney will manage a caseload of personal injury and civil litigation matters from the initial client consultation solution. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and litigation skills.

Duties:

  • Communicate with clients to gather case details and provide legal advice
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts
  • Conduct legal research to support case arguments
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs
  • Lead mediations to negotiate settlements
  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with the legal team
  • Represent clients in trials and hearings as necessary

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Mississippi State Bar
  • Experience drafting and responding to motions
  • Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Mississippi State Bar
